About the artist

Oluwatobiloba "Tobi" Fasalejo is a Nigerian-based visual artist, painter, and storyteller originally from Ondo State, Nigeria. Born in 2000, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Education from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, where he refined his ability to blend African heritage with contemporary expression. His artistic journey is defined by vibrant strokes of oil and acrylic, illuminating themes of resilience, adaptation, and identity. Each canvas tells a story, depicting faces that embody the enduring spirit of African and black communities – a reflection of both personal and cultural narratives. 

Fasalejo’s work has been showcased in exhibitions across Nigeria and internationally, solidifying his place as a distinct voice in contemporary art.
